Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for the responsible and lawful use of Logix IT services and infrastructure. Last updated May 2026.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing fair, responsible, and lawful use of services, systems, and infrastructure provided by Logix IT Pty Ltd ("Logix IT"). This policy applies to all clients, users, and any individuals accessing services managed or delivered by Logix IT.

By using Logix IT services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Breaches may result in suspension or termination of services.

1. Purpose

This policy exists to protect the security, reliability, and performance of IT services and shared infrastructure, and to ensure that all users act in accordance with applicable Australian laws and regulations. It supplements any service agreement in place between Logix IT and the client.

2. Prohibited Activities

You must not use Logix IT services to:

  • Illegal activity — engage in, facilitate, or promote any activity that is unlawful under Australian or applicable international law
  • Unauthorised access — attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, device, or data
  • Malware distribution — transmit, store, or distribute viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software
  • Spam and unsolicited messaging — send bulk unsolicited emails or messages in violation of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)
  • Denial of service attacks — conduct or assist in denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on any system or network
  • Harassment or abuse — use services to harass, threaten, defame, or cause harm to any individual or organisation
  • Intellectual property infringement — reproduce, distribute, or store content that infringes on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Fraudulent activity — engage in identity fraud, phishing, social engineering, or any other deceptive practices
  • Inappropriate content — store, transmit, or distribute content that is obscene, offensive, or illegal, including child exploitation material
  • Resource abuse — consume excessive system resources in a way that degrades performance for other users

3. Security Responsibilities

As a user of Logix IT services, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of all account credentials and access details
  • Promptly notifying Logix IT of any suspected breach, compromise, or unauthorised use of your systems or accounts
  • Ensuring that devices connecting to Logix IT-managed networks comply with agreed security standards
  • Not sharing credentials or access with unauthorised individuals

4. Email and Communication Services

Where Logix IT manages or supports your email environment, you agree to:

  • Use email services in accordance with Australian anti-spam laws
  • Not use email systems to distribute malware, phishing links, or deceptive content
  • Not engage in bulk unsolicited outbound email campaigns
  • Promptly report any suspected phishing or compromise of your email accounts

5. Cloud and Hosted Services

For cloud or hosted services managed by Logix IT (including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365), you agree to use those services in accordance with the terms and acceptable use policies of the relevant platform providers, in addition to this AUP.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

Logix IT reserves the right to monitor service usage to ensure compliance with this AUP and to maintain the security and integrity of systems. Where a breach of this policy is identified, Logix IT may take any of the following actions:

  • Issue a formal warning
  • Suspend or restrict access to affected services
  • Terminate the relevant service agreement
  • Report the activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law

7. Reporting a Breach

If you become aware of any activity that may constitute a breach of this AUP — whether by yourself, another user, or a third party — please report it immediately to support@logix.com.au. Prompt reporting helps us protect all clients and maintain service integrity.

8. Changes to This Policy

Logix IT may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients of significant changes.
